My name is Andrei Korbut. I am a sociologist who studies human–machine interactions in everyday life. This blog is about social aspects of public appearances of anthropomorphic robots. It is part of my research project as a fellow at the Center for Advanced Internet Studies (Bochum, Germany). In this project I focus on interactions with anthropomorphic robots and how these interactions embody widespread expectations and imaginaries of artificial intelligence in contemporary societies.
